Mosque near Ground Zero should be allowed because it's not supposed to be a symbol of distraction; it should be a symbol to bring people together.According to New York Times Sharif El-Gamal, the owner of the property is offering different facilities, which includes a gym, pool, youth groups and etc. to bring people together as a community. It should help change the false image of Muslims that the majority of Americans have. Do you think people would have such an objection if it were for a church or a Jewish community? If the Mosque is not allowed to be built near ground zero than it would be a symbol of inequality between religions in America.
