RE: The touchy issue of TSA

I do agree that the TSA can be a bit extreme sometimes but I also feel that it's better safe than sorry. I think if they are suspicious they should have the person be checked out privately rather than in front of everyone like you mentioned with the young boy. As far as the radiation I don't think it's right to expose that to everyone but it's the only way for now that they can be certain.
